quinapril + hydrochlorothiazide

Quinapril + hydrochlorothiazide is a fixed-dose combination medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It contains two active ingredients: - Quinapril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. This leads to relaxation of blood vessels and reduced blood pressure by inhibiting vasoconstriction and decreasing aldosterone-mediated sodium and fluid retention. - Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic ("water pill") that increases urine output by promoting renal excretion of sodium and water.
