Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QuinCell is a plant stem cell extract derived from biotechnologically cultivated cells of *Chaenomeles japonica* (Japanese quince), developed by Alternative Plants for topical cosmetic and dermatological applications. It contains a synergistic blend of anthocyanins and triterpenes, including ursolic acid, maslinic acid, asiatic acid, and amyrin. The ingredient functions as an anti-aging and photoprotective agent by inhibiting the production of Matrix Metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1), thereby preventing collagen degradation, while simultaneously stimulating collagen synthesis in dermal fibroblasts. Additionally, it provides antioxidant benefits, UVA/UVB absorption, and a mild reduction in melanin production, making it suitable for use in anti-aging formulations and as an SPF booster.
