Quinoric

Quinoric is a brand-name formulation of hydroxychloroquine sulfate, a small molecule drug belonging to the 4-aminoquinoline class. Developed and marketed by Bristol Laboratories, it serves as both an antimalarial and an immunomodulatory agent. Its mechanism of action involves the alteration of lysosomal pH and interference with antigen presentation, which helps dampen autoimmune responses. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic and discoid lupus erythematosus, and certain light-sensitive dermatological conditions. In pediatric patients, it is also used for juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
