Overview
QVIGOR (sildenafil citrate 50mg orodispersible tablets) is a 3D-printed, rapidly disintegrating oral formulation of sildenafil developed by Merdury Biopharmaceutical using its proprietary StackDose™ technology platform. Sildenafil is a selective inhibitor of cGMP-specific 3',5'-cyclic phosphodiesterase (PDE5), an enzyme responsible for the degradation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the corpus cavernosum. By blocking PDE5, QVIGOR enhances nitric oxide-mediated smooth muscle relaxation and increases blood flow to the penis, facilitating an erection in response to sexual stimulation. The drug was approved by the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) in January 2026 for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men, offering a convenient, waterless administration option designed for rapid onset.
