Drug intelligence / Profile preview
R.B. Tone Kid Syrup is an approved oral haematinic syrup manufactured and marketed by Medley Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in India. Formulated specifically for pediatric use, it is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia and nutritional deficiency anemia in children. The syrup is a fixed-dose combination containing colloidal iron (equivalent to elemental iron), folic acid (Vitamin B9), and cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12). Colloidal iron replenishes depleted iron stores to support hemoglobin synthesis and oxygen transport; folic acid is essential for DNA synthesis and rapid cell division during red blood cell formation; and cyanocobalamin supports healthy red blood cell maturation and nervous system development. Together, these components address the multifactorial etiology of pediatric anemia, promoting healthy growth, stimulating appetite, and restoring energy levels.
