R110-targeted CAR T cell therapy

R110-targeted CAR T cell therapy is an investigational autologous cell therapy being developed by SinABiomedics for the treatment of high-risk chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The therapy consists of patient-derived T cells genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that specifically recognizes the IGLV3-21R110 (R110) neoepitope. This biomarker is a mutation-specific epitope found on the B-cell receptor light chain in a subset of patients with aggressive CLL. By targeting this tumor-specific neoepitope rather than pan-B-cell antigens like CD19, the therapy aims to selectively eradicate malignant B cells while sparing healthy B cells. Preclinical research, including studies published in *Nature Communications* in 2024, has demonstrated the selective targeting and efficacy of this approach in preclinical models. SinABiomedics is collaborating with Cellex Cell Professionals to advance the program toward clinical development.
