**R131** is an investigational fixed-dose vaginal soft-gel insert containing the HIV protease inhibitors **lopinavir** and **ritonavir**. Developed by Douglas Pharmaceuticals and licensed to Daré Bioscience for U.S. development as DARE-HPV, it is designed as a localized, self-administered pharmacologic treatment for persistent high-risk human papillomavirus infection and associated cervical disease, potentially avoiding surveillance-only management or excisional treatment for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
