r9-Bor65-75 is a synthetic peptide drug consisting of the cell-penetrating nona-d-arginine (r9) peptide conjugated to a borealin-derived peptide segment (Bor65-75). This conjugate was designed to target survivin, a protein highly expressed in most cancer cells but rarely in normal adult tissues. r9-Bor65-75 binds survivin with high affinity, inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis, and shows significant antitumor activity in mouse xenograft models of pancreatic cancer. It is under preclinical investigation as a targeted anticancer therapeutic, with applications in both cancer imaging and therapy targeting survivin-positive tumors[1][2][3][4].
