This drug is a 14-day modified sequential therapy regimen investigated by Shandong University for the rescue treatment of refractory Helicobacter pylori infection. The treatment protocol is divided into two 7-day stages: the first stage involves the administration of double-dose rabeprazole, amoxicillin, tetracycline, and furazolidone; the second stage replaces furazolidone with colloidal bismuth pectin while maintaining the other three components. Rabeprazole serves as a proton pump inhibitor to maintain an alkaline gastric environment, while amoxicillin and tetracycline inhibit bacterial cell wall and protein synthesis, respectively. Furazolidone provides potent antibacterial activity through DNA damage, and colloidal bismuth pectin offers mucosal protection and direct bactericidal effects against H. pylori.
