Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rabies human immunoglobulin (HRIG) is a plasma-derived biologic developed by Zhejiang Haikang Biological Products for rabies post-exposure prophylaxis. It contains high titers of neutralizing antibodies against the rabies virus, obtained from the plasma of hyperimmunized human donors. The product is designed to provide immediate passive immunity to individuals exposed to rabies, neutralizing the virus at the site of infection and preventing its progression to the central nervous system during the window before active immunity from rabies vaccination is established. It is intended for administration via local wound infiltration and intramuscular injection.
