Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rabifel is an inactivated rabies vaccine for cats used in veterinary medicine to induce active immunity against rabies virus, thereby preventing rabies in vaccinated animals. It is an immunobiological product containing killed rabies virus antigen formulated with adjuvants; following subcutaneous or intramuscular administration, it stimulates the feline immune system to generate neutralizing antibodies, with protective immunity developing approximately 2–3 weeks after vaccination.[7] The vaccine is intended for prophylactic use in healthy cats, typically as part of routine vaccination schedules in regions where rabies is endemic or under regulatory control.[7]
