Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Radelumin is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent containing the active substance [18F]PSMA-1007. It is used in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to detect prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive lesions in adult patients with prostate cancer. Its primary indications are for the primary staging of high-risk prostate cancer prior to curative therapy and for detecting suspected recurrence of prostate cancer in patients with rising serum PSA levels after initial treatment. The mechanism involves targeting PSMA-expressing cells, allowing precise visualization of tumor sites via PET scanning. Radelumin is administered intravenously and is intended strictly for diagnostic use only[1][2][3][4][5].
