Radgocitabine (also known as TAS-109 or CNDAC) is a small molecule deoxycytidine analogue developed by Taiho Pharmaceutical for the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. As a nucleoside analog, it acts as a DNA synthesis inhibitor by incorporating into the DNA of cancer cells, leading to DNA strand breaks and interference with DNA function. It has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials specifically for patients with chemotherapy-refractory metastatic colorectal cancer, where it is typically administered as a 14-day continuous intravenous infusion to maintain therapeutic levels.
