Overview

RAGE shRNA is a research-grade gene-silencing reagent designed to knock down the expression of the Receptor for Advanced Glycation Endproducts (RAGE), also known as AGER. It typically consists of a pool of lentiviral vector plasmids or constructs encoding target-specific 19–25 nucleotide short hairpin RNA (shRNA) sequences. By utilizing the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, RAGE shRNA facilitates the degradation of RAGE mRNA, thereby reducing protein levels. This tool is primarily used in academic and preclinical research to investigate the role of RAGE signaling in various pathological conditions, including cancer progression (e.g., pancreatic and breast cancer), inflammation, diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease. It is not a therapeutic drug and is intended for research use only.
