Ramipril + hydrochlorothiazide

Ramipril + hydrochlorothiazide is a fixed-dose combination medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines two active ingredients: ramipril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. Ramipril works by blocking the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and reduced blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine output by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal tubules of the kidney, which helps remove excess water and salt from the body.
