Overview

Ramucirumab + dacarbazine is an investigational **combination therapy** consisting of the **monoclonal antibody ramucirumab** (targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2, VEGFR2) and the **alkylating agent dacarbazine (DTIC)**. Ramucirumab blocks VEGFR2–mediated angiogenesis, thereby inhibiting tumor vascularization, while dacarbazine causes DNA alkylation leading to cell death. This combination has been explored in phase 2 trials for the treatment of chemotherapy-naïve metastatic melanoma and is currently undergoing clinical evaluation for progressive well-differentiated metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. Both agents are administered intravenously[2][3][4][5].
