Overview
RaphaLX is a gut microbiome-derived biotherapeutic being developed by NewBiotics for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). As the lead candidate in the company's pipeline, it is currently in Phase 1 clinical development. The therapy is designed to leverage the gut-brain axis to address neurodegeneration, although its specific molecular targets and detailed mechanism of action have not been publicly disclosed. NewBiotics is also developing a companion blood-based diagnostic biomarker intended to support patient stratification and monitoring in subsequent Phase 2 clinical trials.
