Overview

RapMed-1506 (also known as DF19001) is an allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) developed by RAPHAS for the treatment of allergic rhinitis caused by house dust mite (HDM) allergens. The product utilizes a dissolving microneedle patch delivery system, which is designed to deliver HDM allergens into the skin to induce immunological tolerance. This modality aims to improve patient compliance and safety compared to traditional subcutaneous injections or sublingual immunotherapy. A Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT05525650) was conducted in South Korea to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the patch in subjects with HDM-induced allergic rhinitis, with the study completing in early 2025.
