Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RapMed-2003 is a GLP-1 receptor agonist delivered via a dissolving microneedle patch, currently under development by RAPHAS for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. The product utilizes a semaglutide analog formulated into RAPHAS's proprietary microneedle technology, which allows for transdermal delivery of the medication as an alternative to subcutaneous injections. A Phase 1 clinical trial in 30 subjects was completed in late 2024, evaluating the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile of the patch formulation.
