RapMed-2302 is a dissolving microneedle patch formulation of clindamycin phosphate, currently under development by RAPHAS for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The product utilizes RAPHAS's proprietary Droplet Extension Conduction (DEN) technology to create microneedles that penetrate the stratum corneum and dissolve to deliver the active ingredient directly into the skin. Clindamycin phosphate is a lincosamide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, effectively targeting *Cutibacterium acnes*. This delivery method aims to provide higher local concentrations of the drug with potentially fewer systemic or surface-level side effects compared to traditional topical treatments. RapMed-2302 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials in South Korea.
