RASAL2 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the **RASAL2** (Ras protein activator like 2) gene. RASAL2 is a Ras-GTPase-activating protein that is frequently upregulated in various malignancies, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and bladder cancer, often due to DNA hypomethylation. By targeting RASAL2 mRNA for degradation, this siRNA inhibits cancer cell proliferation, anchorage-independent growth, and invasive potential. Mechanistically, the depletion of RASAL2 suppresses the activation of the **PI3K/AKT** and **MAPK** signaling pathways, evidenced by reduced phosphorylation of AKT, JNK, MKK6, and p70S6 kinases. Additionally, RASAL2 knockdown has been shown to influence the DNA methylation machinery by down-regulating DNMT1 and MBD2, suggesting a complex role in epigenetic regulation within the tumor environment.
