Rasnadvigunabhagasya decoction

Rasnadvigunabhagasya decoction (also referred to as Rasnadvigunabhagasaya herbal decoction or RDBD) is a traditional Sri Lankan Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation containing 26 botanical ingredients, including *Alpinia calcarata*. It is primarily used for the treatment of joint pain and inflammation associated with knee osteoarthritis. The decoction has been evaluated in an open-label, randomized, non-inferiority clinical trial in Sri Lanka, sponsored by the University of Colombo, where it was administered orally as part of a traditional medicine regimen in combination with the herbal pill Yogaraja Guggulu and compared against conventional NSAID therapy.
