Overview

RASTEM is an autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell (ADMSC) therapy being developed by EHL Bio for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis. The therapy involves isolating mesenchymal stem cells from a patient's own adipose tissue, expanding them in vitro, and administering them back to the patient via intravenous injection. RASTEM functions through immunomodulation and tissue repair, leveraging the multi-differentiation potential of adult stem cells to suppress the inflammatory immune response and promote the regeneration of damaged joint tissues. As of early 2024, the candidate has completed non-clinical studies and is in the preclinical stage, preparing for clinical trial entry.
