Overview

**ravidasvir + danoprevir + ritonavir** is a fixed-dose oral antiviral combination regimen for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Ravidasvir is a next-generation, pan-genotypic inhibitor of the hepatitis C virus NS5A protein, a key viral replication complex component, showing high efficacy across HCV genotypes. Danoprevir is a macrocyclic inhibitor of the HCV NS3/4A serine protease, critical for viral polyprotein processing and replication. Ritonavir acts as a pharmacokinetic enhancer, selectively inhibiting CYP3A to increase danoprevir exposure and prolong its action. This combination is administered as an all-oral, interferon- and ribavirin-free regimen, though in key clinical trials it has been tested both with and without ribavirin. Primary clinical studies have shown very high rates of sustained virologic response (SVR12: 99–100%) in treatment-naive, non-cirrhotic patients with HCV genotype 1 infection. Ravidasvir was developed in China and clinical development and trials have been supported by Ascletis Bioscience/Ascletis Pharmaceuticals. The mechanism of action is based on dual direct-acting antiviral inhibition of viral NS5A and NS3/4A functions, with ritonavir used to boost the pharmacokinetics of danoprevir[1][2][3].
