Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rax-CMC is a topical ophthalmic lubricant developed and distributed by Rax Health Care Private Limited. The formulation contains 0.5% w/v sodium carboxymethylcellulose (carmellose), a high-viscosity polymer that functions as a tear substitute. It is indicated for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort associated with dry eye syndrome. By mimicking the properties of natural tears, Rax-CMC helps maintain ocular surface lubrication and prevents rapid tear drainage, thereby protecting the eye from environmental irritants and maintaining moisture.
