RayVa is a topical pharmaceutical product candidate being developed by Apricus Biosciences for the treatment of Raynaud’s phenomenon, particularly when associated with scleroderma. It combines the vasodilator alprostadil (prostaglandin E1) with Apricus’ proprietary permeation enhancer technology in a cream formulation designed for on-demand application to affected fingers or toes, delivering drug locally to increase digital blood flow and reduce ischemic symptoms such as pain and color changes.[3][7][11][13][14] Phase 2a clinical data in scleroderma-related Raynaud’s phenomenon have shown RayVa to be generally safe and to improve blood flow parameters and clinical endpoints, supporting further development as a targeted, locally acting vasodilator therapy.[11]
