Overview

RB-106 is a mercaptoacyl dipeptide compound that acts as a potent dual inhibitor of two zinc metallopeptidases: neutral endopeptidase (NEP) and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). This dual inhibition allows it to influence blood pressure and fluid homeostasis. Preclinical studies have shown that RB-106 exhibits excellent pharmacokinetic properties and can induce a prolonged hypotensive effect. It is being investigated for potential clinical applications in the long-term treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as congestive heart failure and myocardial ischemia. The drug was initially developed by Atos SE.
