RB-ADSC-03 (CEREWiNT®) is an autologous adipose-derived stem cell (ADSC) therapy developed by Regeneration Biomedical for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and multiple sclerosis. The therapy involves isolating stem cells from the patient's own adipose tissue, which are then expanded, enriched, and engineered to express Wnt signaling pathway components and neuronal lineage markers. These modified cells are delivered directly into the brain's ventricular system via a surgically installed reservoir (e.g., Ommaya reservoir). The mechanism of action aims to promote neuronal repair, neuroprotection, and regeneration by leveraging the regenerative potential of stem cells and the neurotrophic effects of Wnt signaling activation, which is critical for neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity.
