Overview

RB0026 is a long-acting monoclonal antibody developed for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection, primarily targeting infants and young children. Developed by Ruiyang (Suzhou) Biotechnology, the drug is designed to target the RSV fusion (F) protein, a critical protein that facilitates the virus's entry into host respiratory cells. By binding to the F protein, RB0026 neutralizes the virus and prevents the fusion of the viral envelope with the host cell membrane. The antibody is engineered with an extended half-life, intended to provide protection throughout an entire RSV season with a single intramuscular administration, similar in profile to other long-acting RSV antibodies like nirsevimab.
