Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RB1000 is an investigational inhaled biologic therapy developed by Alveolus Biomedical for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The drug consists of a proprietary formulation of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived secretome, which includes extracellular vesicles (EVs), cytokines, and growth factors. Delivered via inhalation, RB1000 is designed to target the underlying pathophysiology of COPD by providing immunomodulatory and regenerative signals directly to the lung microenvironment. The goal of the therapy is to reduce chronic inflammation and facilitate the repair of damaged alveolar tissue. As of late 2021, RB1000 was in the IND-enabling stage of development.
