Overview

RB2010 is an inhaled, allogeneic, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy being developed by Alveolus Biomedical for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The therapy is designed to be delivered directly to the lungs via inhalation, allowing the MSCs to localize in the alveolar regions where they can exert immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fibrotic effects. This approach aims to address the underlying pathology of IPF by promoting tissue repair and reducing the progressive scarring characteristic of the disease. RB2010 is currently in the preclinical stage of development and is part of Alveolus Biomedical's broader platform of inhaled cell-based therapeutics.
