Overview
RBD3133 is a novel small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Suzhou Ribo Life Science and its subsidiary Ribocure Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to selectively silence the INHBE (inhibin subunit beta E) gene, which encodes the activin E protein. Human genetic evidence indicates that loss-of-function variants in INHBE are associated with healthier fat distribution and a reduced risk of coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes. RBD3133 is administered subcutaneously and is being developed as a treatment for overweight and obesity. In October 2026, a Phase I Clinical Trial Application (CTA) was submitted to EU regulators to initiate first-in-human clinical evaluation.
