Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RBD8088 is a blood-brain barrier (BBB)-penetrating oligonucleotide drug under preclinical development for the treatment of glioblastoma and other central nervous system tumors. It is being developed by Suzhou Ribo Life Science, a company specializing in RNA-based therapeutics. As an siRNA (small interfering RNA) therapeutic, RBD8088 is designed to target specific gene expression within tumor cells in the brain, leveraging its ability to cross the BBB and exert targeted effects in glioblastoma models. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that RBD8088 can penetrate the BBB and deliver therapeutic effects in mouse models of human glioblastoma. The drug is currently undergoing further preclinical validation with plans for clinical trial application/IND submission in the near future.
