Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RBM-011 is an aptamer therapeutic developed by Ribomic Inc. that targets interleukin-21 (IL-21). It is designed to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) by blocking the activity of IL-21, a cytokine that promotes the proliferation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells. Unlike existing PAH therapies that primarily focus on vasodilation, RBM-011 aims to address the underlying pathology of the disease by suppressing arterial hyperplasia and stenosis. The drug was discovered using Ribomic's proprietary RiboART system platform and is currently in the preclinical development stage.
