Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RBS-007 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody being developed by RophiBio, a Korean biotechnology company. It is designed to be a biosimilar of nivolumab (Opdivo), targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. By binding to PD-1, RBS-007 blocks the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, which are often exploited by tumor cells to evade immune detection. This blockade restores T-cell activation and enhances the anti-tumor immune response. The drug is currently in preclinical development for various oncology indications.
