RBT-0813 is a synthetic, humanized, bispecific antibody that targets two distinct epitopes on the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein[1][2][3][5][6][7][8]. Its mechanism leverages two humanized VHH antibodies, TB202-03 and TB339-031, fused via Fc domains, enabling it to bind and neutralize multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants—including Delta and Omicron—with high affinity[2][5]. The bispecific design broadens the epitope footprint and mitigates antigenic escape, offering enhanced potency over monospecific antibodies and antibody cocktails[2][5]. RBT-0813 was originally discovered by Twist Biopharma (a division of Twist Bioscience) and then licensed to Revelar Biotherapeutics for continued development[1][3][6][8]. It is being developed as a therapeutic candidate for the treatment of COVID-19 infections, and preclinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in neutralizing authentic SARS-CoV-2 Delta, Omicron, and ancestral variants[1][2][5][6]. This drug is intended for parenteral administration[3].
