Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RBX7455 is an investigational, orally administered, lyophilized, room-temperature-stable live biotherapeutic product. [1, 6, 7] It was developed by Rebiotix, which was acquired by Ferring Pharmaceuticals, as a next-generation formulation on their Microbiota Restoration Therapy (MRT) platform. [7, 10, 11] RBX7455 contains a broad consortium of live intestinal microbes derived from healthy human stool and is designed to rehabilitate the gut microbiome. [4, 6] It has been studied in a Phase 1 clinical trial for the prevention of recurrent *Clostridioides difficile* infection (rCDI) and was investigated in a pilot trial for its immunomodulatory effects in patients with operable breast cancer.
