RC118

RC118 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by RemeGen for the treatment of solid tumors that express Claudin 18.2, including gastric cancer (and gastroesophageal junction cancer) and pancreatic cancer. The drug consists of a recombinant humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting Claudin 18.2, conjugated to the cytotoxic agent monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE). By binding to Claudin 18.2 on tumor cells, RC118 delivers MMAE directly into the malignant cells, leading to cell death while minimizing off-target toxicity. It has demonstrated favorable safety and tolerability in phase I clinical trials in China and Australia and has been granted orphan drug designation by the US FDA for both gastric cancer (including gastroesophageal junction cancer) and pancreatic cancer[2][3][4][5].
