Drug intelligence / Profile preview
"RC148 Injection + pemetrexed disodium for injection + carboplatin injection" is an investigational combination regimen being evaluated for the first-line treatment of advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without actionable genomic alterations. The regimen combines RC148 (also known as ABBV-1480), a novel humanized IgG1 silenced bispecific antibody targeting Programmed Cell Death-1 (PD-1) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), with standard platinum-based chemotherapy agents pemetrexed disodium and carboplatin. RC148 simultaneously blocks immune checkpoint evasion and tumor angiogenesis, while its silenced Fc effector function is designed to minimize antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP) to reduce toxicity. Pemetrexed disodium is a folate analog metabolic inhibitor, and carboplatin is an alkylating-like platinum chemotherapy agent. The combination is developed by RemeGen in collaboration with AbbVie, which holds exclusive rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize RC148 outside of Greater China.
