Overview

RC198 is a novel Fc fusion protein composed of interleukin-15 (IL-15) and the IL-15 receptor alpha (IL-15Rα). It is being developed by RemeGen as an immunomodulatory therapy for various solid tumors, including melanoma, colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer, transitional cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, non-small-cell lung cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. The drug acts as an IL-15 modulator by targeting both IL-15 and its receptor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. As of 2024, RC198 is in Phase 1 clinical trials evaluating its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and preliminary efficacy in patients with locally advanced unresectable or metastatic solid tumors.
