Overview

RCAT cells (Renal Cancer-Associated T cells) are an autologous adoptive cell therapy developed by Henan Cancer Hospital for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The therapy involves the isolation of T cells from the patient, which are then expanded and activated ex vivo to specifically recognize and target renal cancer-associated antigens. Once re-infused into the patient, these sensitized T cells are designed to infiltrate the tumor microenvironment and exert cytotoxic effects against malignant cells. This personalized immunotherapy approach aims to overcome the immune evasion mechanisms of RCC by providing a robust population of tumor-reactive effector cells.
