Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RCS-01 is an autologous cell therapy developed by RepliCel Life Sciences for skin rejuvenation, specifically targeting aging or sun-damaged skin. The product consists of non-bulbar dermal sheath (NBDS) cells (fibroblasts) harvested from a patient's own hair follicles. These cells are isolated, expanded ex vivo, and then re-injected into the dermis to stimulate collagen production and restore skin structure. RepliCel has licensed the rights for Greater China to YOFOTO (China) Health, which is co-developing the product and conducting Phase 2 clinical trials in that region. The therapy is intended to be delivered using the proprietary RCI-02 dermal injector.
