Overview

RCZL11 is a therapeutic mRNA-based vaccine designed to treat persistent Human Papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) infections and associated low-grade cervical lesions, including cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 1 (CIN1) and chronic cervical mucosal inflammation. Developed by Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, the vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to encode HPV16-specific antigens, aiming to stimulate a robust T-cell mediated immune response to clear virally infected cells. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in a dose-escalation (SAD/MAD) study to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in women with persistent cervical HPV16 infection.
