Overview
RD-003 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by MegaPro Biomedical for use in hyperthermia therapy. Utilizing MegaPro's proprietary nano-iron oxide technology platform, RD-003 is designed to act as a sensitizing or primary treatment agent that generates localized heat when exposed to an external energy source, such as an alternating magnetic field (AMF). This process, known as magnetic hyperthermia, aims to induce apoptosis in cancer cells or enhance the effectiveness of concurrent treatments like chemotherapy or radiation. The project is currently in the research and development (R&D) phase, focusing on leveraging functionalized nanoparticles for targeted oncology applications.
