Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RD01 is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell therapy program being developed by Lineage Cell Therapeutics in collaboration with Factor Bioscience. The program utilizes Factor Bioscience's proprietary mRNA-based cell-reprogramming and gene-editing technologies to generate specialized cell types intended for the treatment of various neurological disorders. Currently in the discovery to preclinical stage, the specific neural cell lineage and exact mechanism of action have not been publicly disclosed. The therapy aims to leverage the regenerative potential of iPSC-derived cells to address unmet medical needs in neurology, potentially through the replacement or repair of damaged neural tissues.
