Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RD06-04 is an investigational, autologous chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting CD19, developed by Nanjing Bioheng Biotech. It is designed for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases mediated by autoantibodies. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes and binds to CD19, a protein expressed on B lymphocytes. By targeting CD19-positive B cells, which play a central role in the pathogenesis of many autoimmune disorders, RD06-04 aims to deplete these pathogenic cells and modulate immune responses. The drug is currently being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials for multiple autoimmune indications including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), systemic sclerosis (SSc), ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV), idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM), Sjögren's syndrome, multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), and myasthenia gravis[1][3][4][5][6].
