Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RD06-04 and RD06-05 are investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies developed by Nanjing Bioheng Biotech. These products are designed to target CD19 or both CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), key markers on B cells implicated in the pathogenesis of various autoimmune diseases. The mechanism involves engineering a patient's own T lymphocytes to express CARs that recognize these antigens, enabling targeted depletion of pathogenic B cells while sparing other immune functions. Both products are being evaluated for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy in multiple autoimmune conditions including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), systemic sclerosis (SSc), ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV), idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM/myositis), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), multiple sclerosis (MS), and Sjogren's syndrome[2][3][4][5]. Clinical trials are ongoing in China with early-phase studies recruiting patients.
