Overview
RD06-05 is a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Nanjing Bioheng Biotech. It is designed to target both CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), making it a dual-targeted CAR-T cell therapy. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of several autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), systemic sclerosis (SSc), multiple sclerosis (MS), antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis (AAV), idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), and myasthenia gravis (MG). The mechanism of action involves genetically engineered T cells that express chimeric antigen receptors targeting CD19 and BCMA on B cells, leading to targeted depletion of pathogenic B cells implicated in these autoimmune conditions[1][4].
