Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RD2 Ver.02 is an autologous whole-blood clot therapy developed by RedDress Ltd. for the treatment of complex wounds and internal tracts, such as anal fistulas and pilonidal sinus (PNS). The system utilizes a patient's own blood, which is mixed with a proprietary reagent to initiate the coagulation process in vitro. The resulting coagulating blood is applied directly into the wound or fistula tract, where it forms a stable, three-dimensional blood clot that serves as a provisional extracellular matrix (ECM) scaffold. This scaffold provides a structural environment and a concentrated source of endogenous growth factors and cytokines that facilitate cell migration, angiogenesis, and tissue regeneration, mimicking the body's natural healing process.
