Overview

RDX002 is a small molecule developed by Ardelyx, Inc. It functions as a sodium-phosphate cotransporter 2b (NaP2b) inhibitor, designed for the treatment of hyperphosphatemia in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Ardelyx initially granted Sanofi S.A. an exclusive worldwide license for research and potential development, manufacturing, and commercialization of RDX002 in February 2014. However, Sanofi terminated this agreement in September 2015, at which point the drug was in an early research phase, and all rights reverted to Ardelyx.
